Community Family Centers

On April 2023, I joined forces with Latin Women’s Initiative and a friend to lend a hand at The Community Family Center, where we distributed groceries to families in need—an initiative rooted in LWI’s mission to support Latinx communities in Houston through volunteerism and outreach facebook.com+7instagram.com+7houston.culturemap.com+7. This impactful day brought together LWI members and local volunteers to ensure essential food resources reached underserved households, reinforcing LWI’s role as one of Houston’s leading Hispanic fundraising and service organizations latinwomensinitiative.org+1latinwomensinitiative.org+1. It was a meaningful experience—seeing how small acts of kindness can make a real difference, and being part of a community-driven effort that uplifts families with both dignity and care.
